Lion-Gri is one of the largest grape grower and wine producer in Moldova with a fully integrated production cycle. We produce and supply a full range of wine based products such as red and white wines, sparkling wines and brandy. LION-GRI is the representative of a new generation of winemakers of Moldova.

The Company was founded in 1997 and was one of the pioneers of high quality winemaking in Moldova following its independence from the former Soviet Union. We combined the historically inherited traditions of Moldovan winemakers, modern equipment and up-to-date technologies that now result in an undoubted quality of produced wine that complies to worldwide accepted standards thus satisfying the most sophisticated customer demand. The production technology includes: growing grapes on privately owned vineyards, grape processing, quality wine must production, aging, bottling and final product sales.

The Company’s vineyards span over 700 hectares across 4 different locations in two Southernmost regions of Moldova with protected geographic indication (Stefan-Voda and Valul lui Traian). Circa 65% of the vineyards are planted with red grapes (predominantly Cabernet-Sauvignon and Merlot, but also include plots of Saperavi, Syrah, Malbec, the indigenous Rara Neagra, and others). The c. 35% of whites are mainly plots of Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc. The Company is looking to develop long-term trade partnerships and acquire new customers for its bulk and bottled wines.
