Chocalan USA is the US Importer for the Viña Chocalan wines from Chile. A family owned and managed, award winning boutique winery located in the renown Maipo Valley, Viña Chocalan specializes in producing high quality premium wines. After a detailed search of different terroirs, in 1998 the Toro family decided that an area closer to the coast in the Maipo Valley was the perfect place to start this new venture. The privileged microclimate, its soils and human factors make it a unique place. Chocalan is a name given by the indigenous culture of the place, which means "yellow blossoms". The Toro family, led by Mrs Aida Toro, believes that only the best and most privileged terroir, paired with careful vineyard management and only the best winemaking environment will produce the optimal results for each Viña Chocalan bottle. Perfectionists by nature, the Toro family is hands-on at every level of the winery's operation. All grapes are hand-picked in the vineyard and hand selected prior to fermentation to ensure optimal vinification. Viña Chocalan belongs to the "New Chile" wineries, which focuses on showcasing the great potential of Chile and its diversity of terroirs.
