Description
Kagaumesyu is made using celebrated um ( Japanese plum ) '' Benisashi '', suger crystals, distilled alcohol and natural water from Mt Hakusan. This umeshu was aged for 2 years and has both a rich taste of ume as well as a light and refresh taste, clear flavor. In 2013, Kagaumesyu was served at Nobel reception party.

Sake brewery "MANZAIRAKU" was founded in 1716 during the Edo period. The brewery is located at the foot of Mt.Hakusan, famous for its pure water and long history of religious respect. The Hakusan area was the first area to be approved by the Japanese government as a geographical indication to produce sake. In 1992, they started making also Umeshu ( plum liqueur ) '' Kagaumesyu '' which was served at Nobel reception party in 2013.
Our MANZAIRAKU brand that we can translate as eternal happiness, is a sake factory (KURA) located at the foot of the famous high mountain HAKUSAN (white mountain), a region highly known as one of the best and main regions of rice production of Japan (Hyakumangoku). A company that still maintains and protects the traditional way of making sake by trying to keep its supplies pure. This drink is mostly made of rice, considered one of the best in the country and water of the Hakusan, clean and rich water that has endless properties suitable for the elaboration of this drink. Our company is considered one of the pioneers in the production of KURAMOTO sake (sake producer) recognized nationally and internationally to this day, we maintain the tradition and happiness of our customers. We are very proud of the recognition that has been given to our products through various quality awards throughout our history.
Since ancient times, MANZAIRAKU, which means "Be Happy Always", has been brewing sake with sincere gratitude for all the blessings of nature in Hakusan city. More recently, Mainzairiku was blessed by the Japanese Government as the first recognised sake producer to be awarded Geographical Indication status in Japan. This status, indicating excellence of product combined with limited geographical production area, is similar to other famous geographically recognised foods and drinks around the world.
