Description
Grapes: Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon
Location: Bordeaux geographical area
Vinification: Coming from a strict plot selection (Vieilles Vignes), the harvest is vinified in a traditional manner in thermoregulated vats with regular pumping over to obtain an aromatic concentration and a deep robe. After the alcoholic fermentations, the wines are held at 20 ° in order to quickly make the malolactic fermentations. The 'under wood' breeding is about 9 months to give an optimal expression of the soil.
Food Match: Ideal with grilled lamb, beef or duck. It will also be highlighted by game birds and by hard cheeses. Pleasant peak at any time or over a period of 3 to 5 years.
WINEMAKER COMMENTS: This wine presents a beautiful purplish red robe with a constant intensity. Its pleasant and complex nose develops red ripe fruits notes. On the palate, powerful attack, ample evolution associated with blackcurrant and spices notes, long and persistent final. The current balance of this wine will allow a good potential of ageing. Winemaker: Philippe Bappel
