The Most Famous Sparkler in the World Will Now Come in Pink

Prosecco Doc Rosé Brut Pizzolato, the "Pink" Sparkler Certified Organic and Vegan, Becomes Reality

25/11/2020

After working for years on conducting research and market analysis, producers are finally allowed to make a pink version of Prosecco. The Consortium has in fact taken into account the demands of an increasingly demanding market via the analysis of its consumption trends and acknowledging the great appeal that Rosé sparkling wine has all over the world, given that in the Prosecco territory rosé sparkling wines were already being produced.

As Leader in the production of Organic Prosecco, Pizzolato could not miss this appointment. The Prosecco DOC Rosé Brut Pizzolato, a vintage sparkler certified organic and vegan, will merge the intense aromatics and fruitiness of Glera grapes (90%) and the refined aromas and elegance of Pinot Noir (10%). Following the production regulations, the second fermentation will occur via the Martinotti/Charmat (aka tank) method for a minimum period of 60 days. Pizzolato Prosecco DOC Rosé will contain around 6-8 g/l of residual sugar and offer a persistent mousse. Bright pink in the glass, this will offer delicate scents of white flowers, apple and pear, typically found in Prosecco, combined with immediately recognizable red fruit aromas.

Pizzolato Prosecco DOC Rosé Brut will complement the existing DOC Sparkling wine line currently comprising the Prosecco DOC Brut and Prosecco DOC Extra Dry versions whose labels have recently received a makeover.
