New York, NY, - Verona’s Pasqua family, a leading name in wines from northeast Italy’s Veneto region, has released its first vintage Prosecco Rosé Spumante Extra Dry DOC 2019 in the United States. Introduction of the new wine comes within weeks of the October 28 official launch date set by the Prosecco Consortium for exports of the newly minted Prosecco Rosé category to the U.S. With a suggested retail price of $16, Pasqua’s 2019-vintage Prosecco Rosé is now rolling out in multiple markets nationwide, starting with CA, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, NY, NJ, OR, TN and TX. Shipments of the 2020 vintage, arriving stateside in early spring 2021, are projected to enter national distribution.

The new Prosecco DOC Rosé is the latest addition to Famiglia Pasqua’s best-selling PassioneSentimento line, including a Red, White, and non-vintage Prosecco Brut. All four wines are line-priced at $16.

Famiglia Pasqua PassioneSentimento Prosecco DOC Rosé 2019 rounds out the freshness and elegance of the white Glera grape, the basis for all Proseccos, with 10-15 percent of locally grown Pinot Noir. The latter provides color and a more pronounced structure, and a welcome festive taste of summer during the cold months of winter.
