Joe Anderson, chairman and co-founder of Benovia Winery, is proud to announce that the winery has crafted a Pinot Noir called “Courageous Care,” which will raise funds for Feeding America, Direct Relief, and their local affiliates across the country, including Redwood Empire Food Bank in Santa Rosa, CA.
Courageous Care Pinot Noir honors the memory of midwife Margaret Foley, and pays tribute to the brave men and women who are fighting COVID-19. Foley was Joe Anderson’s great-grandmother and she was a midwife during the diphtheria epidemic in 1892. Foley worked tirelessly to treat families who suffered during the epidemic and sadly her own family was not spared.
