Just 413 bottles of Kavalan Single Sherry Cask have been released for sale online through The Whisky World. The bottling contains cask strength (59.4%) ABV whisky aged in a single oloroso Sherry cask.

“The Kavalan Single Sherry Cask previously held oloroso Sherry, with its deep colour and intense aroma providing a honeyed sweetness to the whisky with dried fruit and nut flavours,” said The Whisky World.

“This type of powerfully Sherried-whisky is playfully known in the industry as a ‘Sherrybomb’, and because this was aged entirely in a first-fill cask, it’s one of the most intense.”

Kavalan celebrated its 10th-anniversary last year and launched its inaugural gin in January.
