Dewar’s is under the spotlight for winning awards at a spirits competition that held in London this year. Its four Scotch Whiskies including 18 Years Old The Vintage, 15 Years Old The Monarch, 12 Years Old The Ancestor, and White Label won gold and silver medals, as well as a special award.

Dewar’s is a famous brand for quality blended whiskies and innovative advertising and promotions. It is fifth largest-selling brand in the world and top-selling Scotch Whiskey in the USA. The big contribution in making Dewar’s an international success is given by John Dewar’s potent sons, John Alexander and Tommy Dewar. Today the company owns Aberfeldy, Aultmore, Craigellachie, Macduff and Royal Brackla distilleries. Currently, Dewar’s employs 300 people at seven locations throughout Scotland.

Dewar’s 18 years old The Vintage has been named the Best Spirit in Show by Country by 2018 London Spirits Competition. It was also awarded a Gold medal in the competition. This fruity and spicy blended scotch has aromas of orange peel and lemon, anise ripe berries, green peer cobbler and banana bread. The flavours of milky cherry pop tart and stewed raisin, cinnamon-dusted crème Brulee, ground ginger and pimiento and honey sesame candy fills the mouth.

Dewar's Winning Bottles

Dewar’s 15 years old The Monarch, the silver medal winner, has a fruity, complex and rich taste. It has aromas of aloe, honeydew melon, Maria cookies and orange marmalade on toast. Fresh green pear and grilled fruit rock the palate. It has the flavour of sponge cake, allspice and oregano, and caramelized pineapple. It is a rich and sophisticated blended scotch whisky.

Another silver medal winner, Dewar’s 12 years old The Ancestor has a bright amber colour. It has fruity aromas of caramelized peach, Spanish moss and java cake, candied cherry and apple skin. The flavours of apricot preserve and condensed milk, pine needles and toasty oak, almond tea cake with nougat and duck prosciutto fills the palate.

Dewar’s White Label is also a silver medal winner. This blended scotch whiskey has golden amber colour. Its fruity and smoky aroma has notes of tobacco, lemon bar, salt cave, and underripe pineapple. It has flavours of grilled green pepper and artichoke, eucalyptus, barbecue pork, and salted citrus salad.

Dewar’s has announced determined plans to release expressions at a variety of ages from its five malt whisky distilleries. The company has warehousing, blending, bottling and packaging facilities along with its five distilleries.
