Firkin Old Tom Gin is FIRKIN’s second new product in 2018, following on from the 1000-day aged FIRKIN. The gin is an authentic yet modern interpretation on a classic that offers the growing army of gin enthusiasts a different flavor profile in cocktails and mixed drinks.

Old Tom Gin is a style originally made popular in the 18th and 19th centuries with a more intense, yet slightly sweeter taste than a classic London Dry Gin.

Derek Mair, Founder of FIRKIN Gin, said: “We enjoy developing different styles of gin under the FIRKIN brand and our Old Tom has been six months in development. The style was a forgotten classic, but with interest in gin among UK consumers at an all-time high, and still growing, we’ve taken a classic recipe and redeveloped it for the modern era. The Sweeter flavor profile will appeal to bar professionals looking for a different take on classic gin drinks, such as a Collins, with a smooth, rounded finish and just the right balance of alcohol. We’ve had pre-orders already for export markets, as well as interest from some key the UK on and off-trade retailers.”

Old Tom Gin is bottled at 43% ABV with packaging that reflects the heritage of its style and an RSP of £25. The latest addition to the FIRKIN Family is available through Hammond’s of Knutsford, selected High Street shops and online
