Urban South Brewery will release its take on the Black is Beautiful beer initiative today, July 8. Urban South’s version of Black is Beautiful features locally roasted coffee and coconut milk for a latte style stout. The malts used add a layer of toffee and dark cacao to play off the sweet coconut and rich coffee flavors.

100 percent of the proceeds from beer sales will be donated to New Orleans’ Youth Empowerment Project (YEP), an organization that envisions a community where all people have access to the opportunities, skills, resources and relationships they need to actualize their potential.
