Great Notion Brewing, Portland’s purveyors of hazy and juicy IPA’s, confection-inspired stouts, and fruit packed sours, are opening a second Seattle location in the Georgetown neighborhood. Great Notion Georgetown will open ahead of the previously announced Seattle location coming to Ballard later this year.

“Our Ballard spot seemed like it was going to be getting delayed again and again so we decided to jump on this Georgetown location,” says Great Notion’s co-owner Paul Reiter. The Georgetown neighborhood is bounded by rail lines and near the Seattle airport, it’s been known to be a mostly industrial district but has been growing in recent years with an impressive list of breweries and restaurants.
