The second-smallest Grand Cru in Alsace.
A 35% slope of flat, slippery rocks.
Hard rocks, with cutting edges.
The Kastelberg does not forgive, nor budge.
Naturally, yields rarely exceed 25hl/ha.
In the glass it’s the same: the omnipresent
minerality seems to only authorise discrete
notes of citrus fruit and white flowers. But
then... The precision, the edge, the finish!
