Description
Sadō gin is distilled in England and is London dry style gin. Apart of juniper main botanical is Hojicha which is roasted green tea from Japan. We get the tea from small plantation in Japan where grandfather and his grandson runs the plantation, they also grow teas for Emperor of Japan for past 30 years.
Gin is distilled in small batches around 200 bottles per run and have a great feedback from industry people.
Sadō Gin has fresh aromatic notes and is very well balanced. Botanicals includes: juniper, Hojicha tea, orris root, elderflower, sweet orange peel, lemongrass and coriander.
We also won two medals in International Wine and Spirit Competition and in International Spirit Challenge this year.
Sadō "The Way of Tea" - Our gin is rich with Hojicha single estate Japanese roasted green tea which grows on small plantation in Okumikawa region. Perfectly balanced and with fresh flavors, perfect with tonic and in cocktails.

At Hojicha Limited we start our journey with distilling unique Gin which we called Sado "The way of Tea" one of the main botanical's is Hojicha roasted green tea which we sourcing from small plantation in Japan where they grow teas for emperor of Japan for past 30 years. Our award winning gin is distilled at 46% and its London Dry style gin with unique flavor profiles and attention drawing lable.
Our journey starts with the unique Hojicha roasted green tea which originated in Kyoto, Japan over a hundred years ago. In early 2019 during trip to Japan we fell in love with Hojicha tea’s distinct taste and aroma. After searching Japan for the best quality Hojicha tea we found a small plantation in Okumikawa that produced a remarkable tea. Many of the tea trees on the farm are over 100 years old and they have made teas for the Emperor of Japan for almost 40 years. After researching the best botanicals we created our recipe from eight of the finest: Juniper, Hojicha Tea, Orris Root, Coriander seeds, Elderflower, Sweet orange peel, Lemongrass and pink peppercorn.
