About Rob Dolan…
Rob Dolan has been a Yarra Valley winemaker for over 20 years and is recognized as one of the great characters of the wine industry. Rob has an outstanding winemaking record and has played a pivotal role in the evolution of the Yarra Valley.
His first experience in the Yarra Valley was as senior winemaker at Yarra Ridge winery, one of the success stories of the 90’s being the benchmark chardonnay and pinot noir of their time.
Rob went on to launch two more successful Yarra Valley brands – Sticks and Punt Road (“Sticks” being Rob’s nickname as a premiership ruck man with Port Adelaide Football Club but don’t hold that against him!).
2012 saw the release of the first Rob Dolan wines crafted from fruit grown by friends and grape growers who have supported him throughout his time in the Yarra Valley.
It all starts in the vineyard….
Over the years we have been fortunate to work with several outstanding vineyards and growers in the Yarra Valley, many of whom have become loyal friends.
When we decided to launch the Rob Dolan range of wines we selected vineyards with a brilliant track record of consistently producing fruit of the highest calibre. Each vineyard has been specifically planted with varieties and clones that suit the very distinct “terroir” of each site.
