Copper Can Moonshine ® is an American made spirit, using only the finest combinations of locally grown grain. Century old formulations marrying corn, barley and rye are used to create the perfect malt for the perfect product. Now looking for Distributors in US and Other Countries.
Our distillery utilizes the same basic copper steam still and boiler design utilized by our family through the early 1960′s. Due to the equipment cost and operational complexities, moonshiners did not commonly use the “steam still” system. Our “steam still” equipped with “doublers” or thump barrels is said to provide a cleaner superior tasting spirit. Our system utilizes a double thumper barrel wash system between the still and the condenser, providing a second distillation of the spirits on a single run. The end result is a cleaner, smoother product with far less of the undesirable compounds such as acetones and various aldehydes when compared to the final condensed products of other systems.
We take great care with all of the processes; not limited to the sprouting, drying, and grinding of our own corn malt for our mash fermentation. We believe that our most important ingredient is our PURE Mountain Spring Water, used for all mashing, steaming and proofing. Our unique process, system, and ingredients combined with over 150 years of family know-how provides what we believe to be one of the best moonshine products (spirits distilled from grain) on the market today.
