Category: Wine Wholesaler
The business went well and Rocco bought the lands of the Feudi Ortonesi, which were dedicated to the cultivation of wine grapes. Rocco believed so much in the potential of wine that he was one of the founding partners of the cooperative of direct growers of Tollo, the small village in Abruzzo where today our cellar is also located. Since his youth Antonio, Rocco's son worked alongside his father and learned all the secrets to get the most out of the earth. In the 1970s Antonio bought the beautiful Nicante Estate in Fara Filorum Petri, at the foot of Mount Maiella, from the noble Signora Bianca of Pescara. The years passed until in 2009 Antonio and his sons Giacomo and Rocco built the family winery with the mission of producing quality wines using only the grapes coming from their own "vineyards" and sharing their passion with good wine enthusiasts . Just like every other village in Central and Southern Italy, our family also has its own nickname: in the local dialect they call us "Li Ture" (the Bulls) and to respect the traditions we have chosen this noble and strong animal as a symbol of our cellar.
