ABOUT US The Winery name comes from the term “1 piò“ a measurement used by local farmers in Brescia Province in Northern Italy to indicate the dimension of 1/3 of a hectare, dimension of the Winery. From this concept borns Onepiò Winery in 2016. The Owner of this new reality is Ilaria Accordini, a young businesswoman, grown up between the vineyards with an incredible passion for wine. Her scrupulous care due first of all to years of travelling the world and learning different styles and tecniques of winemaking as well as the deep experience in the family’s winery. WHERE Onepiò Winery produces wine into two different locations : Lugana and Valpolicella CLassica. Onepiò Lugana vineyards are dedicated to the study of Lugana variety through two different techniques. 30 hectares are divided between: 15 ha. cultivated with the traditional system and the others are going to be biological. Valpolicella Classica vineyards are about 3 rented hectares. Two different regions, two of the smallest italian micro zones with almost the same features: mild climate, not so cold winters and warm summers. This allows the soil and the mature grapes to have major extract of sugar perfectly ready for the harvest time. PHILOSOPHY She takes care of the production with an experienced troupe of professionals as she believes in the quality of wine. Since wine is “barbatella", Ilaria chooses the best ones, to let the grapes grow on green and solid trunks, situated in well-groomed lands, worked with only quality products in full compliance of the ecosystem. This allows not to stress the plants and to get always the perfect rich extract from the soil.
