Freixenet is one of the most renowned cava houses in Spain. Freixenet was founded in the late 19th century with the marriage between two prominent Spanish winemaking families, Dolores Sala Vivé of Casa Sala and Pedro Ferrer Bosch of La Freixeneda. Now, over a century later, our small company has become the world's leading producer of top-quality sparkling wines without losing the family-based character, which is being continued by the founders' descendant, Jose Ferrer.
Pronounced "fresh-eh-net", our sparkling wines or cavas are made in the classic méthode champenoise tradition. It's a difficult and lengthy process, but well worth the effort. With a track record of strong scores and reviews, Freixenet has been a sparkling category leader for years with consistent growth and consumer appeal.
