Ambra Limoncello was founded in 1998 by Italian born Adelaide restaurateur, Libero De Luca who started the business when he was 64years old. Libero arrived in Australia from the Amalfi Coast in Italy when he was just 19, one of many who left Italy after the war in search of a new future. Libero owned many successful restaurants in his 40 years in business and become a very well-known and respected restaurateur within the industry. While holidaying in Italy with his family, Libero noticed the popularity of a sweet digestive called Limoncello and decided to introduce it into Australia.
