Challenge Millésime Bio is the wine contest of the Millésime Bio trade fair, with a worldwide range of more than 1400 wines in competition. The jury is presided by a leading figure in the wine business. Millésime Bio is becoming increasingly appreciated by visitors as well as exhibitors, the competition enriched samples from regions and countries diversified. The Challenge Millésime Bio contest has about 300 jury members around 1400 Organic wines from France and abroad.

Date: January 27-28, 2018

The 9th annual Winemaker Challenge International Wine Competition will be staged in late January in San Diego, California, home of the "Challenge" series of wine & spirits competitions. Winemaker Challenge kicks off the series as the first major international wine competition of the year. Winemaker Challenge brings together many of the most talented winemakers in the profession to evaluate recently released young wines. Their teams of winemakers scrutinize every entry in a blind tasting that assures wines are judged on the merits rather than pedigree.

“SAKURA” Japan Women’s Wine Awards is an international wine competition in Japan. The number of entries was 4,212 items from 37 countries for the competition in 2017. “SAKURA” Japan Women’s Wine Awards, the biggest wine competition in Japan, has been attracting considerable attention from all over the world. Your entries are welcomed from Oct.1st, 2017 to Nov.30th, 2017.

Best of Show winners will move on to compete in the East Meets West Taste-Off to see which wine reigns overall. This affords your wine two chances to win!

The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition (SFCWC), the largest wine competition of American wines in the world with around 7,000 entries in 2017, has traditionally been the first competition of the year. Judges are selected throughout the major American wine regions to offer a diversity of backgrounds to each judging panel. There is major outreach of award recognition through a 30+ page special wine award section of the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper. The SFCWC is one of the few competitions that offer plaque awards for silver, gold, and higher, for tasting room and winery outreach purposes.

Producers, wine makers, sommeliers, distributors, journalists and opinion formers from all strands of the industry – in all more than 50 judges representing 20 nationalities – evaluate entries from twenty or so producer countries. The competition is designed to promote good quality Sauvignon varietal wines, boost production and sensible drinking of Sauvignon wines and introducing the public to this multi-faceted, versatile grape variety.

The Press Democrat North Coast Wine Challenge strives to be an educational platform for young wine industry professionals growing in their careers. Associate Judges are nominated by their peers and attend the judging process; each assigned a panel with their highly experienced wine judges. They get to learn and network with winemakers, sommeliers, media people and other seasoned wine industry professionals. Public announcement of awards and pouring gold winners at the North Coast Wine & Food Festival organized and hosted by The Press Democrat.

The International Wine Challenge (IWC) owned by William Reed Business Media is now in its 34th year. The IWC is accepted as the world’s finest and most meticulously judged wine competition which assesses every wine blind and judges each for its faithfulness to style, region and vintage. Throughout the rigorous judging processes, each medal-winning wine is tasted on three separate occasions by at least 10 different judges and awards include medals (Trophy, Gold, Silver, Bronze) and Commended and Great Value awards.

WineMaker International Amateur Wine Competition is the largest of its kind in the world. Entries were received from all 50 American states, 6 Canadian provinces and 7 countries represented for the 2017 competition resulting in a total of 2,497 wines entered. The Denver International Wine Competition is designed to give added exposure to your wines, just in time for the holiday season. All winning entries are recognized on the competition website and receive a handsome award medal suitable for hanging on the bottle for display. Award graphics and medal art are provided to winners. You may find it interesting that most of the wine consumed at home is primarily purchased by women. But as a winemaker, how do you know which wine she will prefer? One way is to enter your wine in the International Women’s Wine Competition, judged entirely by wine industry professional women. Its mission is to uniquely identify specific wines that women will enjoy and ultimately purchase. Aside from judging wines on their own merit made by both men and women, a special award will be given to the Best Woman Winemaker based on wines made just by women.
