About Us

Votto Vines Importing (“Votto Vines”) is a family-operated business headquartered in Connecticut focusing primarily on the importation and wholesale distribution of fine wines produced by leading boutique vineyards around the world as well as high-profile private label and wine licensing transactions. Votto Vines 90+ Collection features some of the top rated wines currently being produced in Europe, Australia and South America, including the Leone d’Oro Vino Nobile di Montepulciano which earned a place on the Wine Spectator Top 100 in 2012 (#49). Votto Vines is the sole US importer for the Order Sons of Italy in America, the largest and longest running organization for people of Italian heritage in the United States as well as CBS Consumer Products/Showtime Networks® in connection with its current The Borgias series.

Votto Vines has also partnered with blues icon BB King in connection with the development of a proprietary wine brand and most recently has finalized a program to create an international collection of organic wines in partnership with famed eco-stylist, Danny Seo. Votto Vines also assists its customers in planning unique agritourism vacations in Italy, provides broad-based consulting services to the international wine and small business community and conducts educational seminars for both professional and philanthropic functions. In the Fall of 2012, executives of Votto Vines traveled to London in order to manage the VIP wine program for the annual NFL International Series game. The entrepreneurial spirit and diverse professional backgrounds of the executives have allowed them to apply their forward-thinking ideas and vision to the international wine trade.

Organoleptic Description A dry red wine.
Colour Deep ruby red with garnet highlights.
Nose Cherries (both fresh and under spirits), plums and liquorice; spices such as pepper and cinnamon; hints of undergrowth.
Flavour Extremely elegant, well-balanced and velvety, but at the same time robust and complex, dry, full bodied, generous and austere.

Pieve dei Monaci

Geographic zone of production Campagnatico - Grosseto.
Grape Variety Syrah
Soil type Hills with medium elevation, well-drained soil because of bedrock erosion.
Colour Intense red with malberry hues.
Bouquet Wide and persistent, it is reminiscent of red berries but also leaves a pleasant hints of vanilla and liquorice. The concurrent herbaceous notes are typical of the vine variety.
Taste Velvety and smooth, harmonious and tasty, showing the vanilla-flavoured sweetnesscoming.
Alcohol content 14% Vol.

Valpolicella Ripasso

Geographic zone of production Lena di Mezzo is an entirely terraced estate of 17.8 hectares that lies in the heart of Furnane, a splendid hilly zone with tufaceous, clay and limestone soils, in which we have sought to express to the full the independence between the terroir and the indigenous grape varieties that are the unique heritage of the area around Verona.
Grape Variety 80% Corvina Veronese and Corvinone, 20% Rondinella.
Organoleptic description A dry red wine.
