Lights View Wines

Premium wines from Australia - Looking for Wine Importers around the world

In 1836, Lt. Colonel William Light surveyed an area which would become Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia. Today, thirty kilometres to the north, on rich fertile soil of the Adelaide Plains, with coastal breezes and an abundance of sunshine, lies the town of Virginia.

Light’s View was established in 2001 at Virginia, South Australia by the Carypidis family. Their vision – to create their own exceptional range of Australian wines that offer regional sophistication and strong varietal flavours from their family grape growing business. With 3 generations of grape growing experience behind them, Light’s View focuses on producing the best quality grapes with balanced vines, well spaced fruit and with an abundance of shading and sunlight to ensure optimal results.

In 2002, Light’s View introduced Jim Irvine as a wine consultant to the company, one of Australia’s leading wine makers, to ensure they meet their vision to create exceptional Australian wine.
