Merlot 2012

From its native South West where it dominates, Merlot has spread to the south of France where it has adapted very well to the generosity of the climate. The red wine it produces is characterised by aromas of cherry, strawberries and cassis, mixed with spices and woodiness. Before crossing other borders, Syrah took root in the South East of France where it gained acclaim. It was then logically planted in Languedoc soil, where it thrived, producing pleasurable wines. Particularly dense in colour, the wine it produces has a racy aromatic and original expression supported by fruity aromas (blackberry, blueberry), floral (violet), and is sometimes spicy and smoky. The palate is no exception, characterised by a structure of ripe tannins, melting together in an agreeable nice roundness.
